This was a session I shot recently with a great team of people. It’s a personal shoot and something I love doing to stop me getting stuck in a creative rut – no brief to stick to, no deadlines to meet, just a fun morning with three very talented individuals.
When we arrived at the Godalming hotel, the amount of luggage we brought almost filled up the whole room; in fact, I had the least – just a camera, a reflector and a monopod (which I didn’t use.) However, it was well worth it. Between them, Katie Tunn our model and Kirstie Smillie our stylist had brought along an impressive array of outfits, jewellery and accessories; it was like being a little girl again and playing at dressing up my dolls and stealing my mum’s makeup!
Our lovely hair and makeup artist, Hanna Wildman, created a series of different looks for Katie, starting with something simple and natural, and working up to a lovely smoky-eyed look for the gorgeous dresses. Kirstie pulled together some fabulous outfits using a mixture of accessories, and Katie was the perfect model to work with – charming and very patient.
