Photography Workshops, Guildford, Surrey. Two Dates for the Start of 2015
If you’re thinking about buying a new digital SLR for Christmas, then rather than wade through the manual, why not book yourself a place on one of my photography workshops at Bar des Arts, Guildford?
It can be a bit daunting when faced with all those buttons and dials, and often the temptation is to leave the camera on the Auto setting without experimenting, because it all seems a bit too complicated.
The trouble is that if you’re using Auto you’re wasting about 99% of your camera’s capability and in that case you might as well have bought a point-and-click camera instead!
Want to Take Your Photography to the Next Level? – Scroll Down to Find Out More About How to Book.
My workshops are aimed at complete beginners who enjoy photography but want to master their cameras and improve their pictures as a result. Photography doesn’t have to be complicated, and it should definitely be fun; and the best way to learn is often in a group, with like-minded individuals who share your interest. Some of the things we’ll cover include:
- The 7 mistakes that most beginners make
- How to achieve the correct exposure without resorting to Auto mode
- Working with natural light to get the best results
- Using different lenses for different subjects
- The main aspects of design and composition
- Creating different effects with focusing and motion blur
The workshops start at 10.00 am and finish at around 1.30 pm. Included are tea, coffee and delicious pastries on arrival, a full set of notes and 1 week’s email follow-up and support. Weather permitting, we’ll also go outside for a practical session.
Spaces cost £75.00 each and are strictly limited. Advance booking and payment is essential (once you’ve got in touch, I will email you details of how to pay.)
So if you’d like to take your photography to the next level, why not join me in the New Year for a fun-packed workshop? You’ll leave armed with new skills you can use straight away and a knowledge of how to use your camera in manual mode to give your pictures more impact.
